Memories of that day return with absolute clarity as I began this piece. My husband fished in a deep channel nearby so I chose to wander in my Crocks up this shallower one. Though the water came from snow melt and springs it had warmed to pleasantly refreshing on this hot afternoon. The humidity created wonderful atmospheric perspective, a wet spring produced full foliage and tall grass and the cloudless day gave me ample reflection on and visibility through the water. An artist couldn’t ask for more.
